• Learn a New Lauguage Through Blogging

I am learning Spanish and have come to know two language websites, namely, Italki and LiveMocha. I know a lot of friends through those sites. I help my friends in learning English and Chinese. I will use this blog as a forum for my friends and I to tell our experience in learning a new language and ways and means to improve the related language skills. Let's help each other. It is a win-win situation.

The Blog

I have been learning Spanish for about 3 years. Gosh! Spanish sure is a tough language. I did not make much headway until in about January 2008 I came across the two marvellous websites Italki and LiveMocha, which are sites where people of different nations help each other learn foreign languages. I have through the sites known a lot of friends from Spain and South America, who have helped me a lot in improving my Spanish (although it is still bad). Along the way I have known a lot of friends from Mainland China and other parts of the world. However, the friendships have been rather superficial as after a while topics run out, not to mention the language barriers. I hope through this blog my friends know me better and my friends know my friends better and our friendship with  each other would grow so would our language capabilities.

I have another blog at the China website 163.com, which is similar to WordPress and is probably the hottest blog site in Mainland China. The mainlanders love to blog. You will find that their blogs interesting and be able to make a lot of friends. 163.com is catered to China bloggers and Chinese is the only available language (although my blog is written in English). However, don’t let that scares you. Many of my Spanish friends are frequent visitors and had dropped a few posts there. That blog will give you a feel of the blogging environment and culture in China. See you there.

My mainland Chinese friends will not come to this blog as WordPress is blocked in China, so are the other international social websites, like Twitter, Facebook, Google blog etc.
